What is the Nitro Bar?
The Nitro Bar was founded by Audrey Finocchairo and Sam Lancaster in 2016 in Rhode Island. The couple created the coffee company, originally as a mobile coffee cart in the basement of Finocchiaro’s parents’ house. The coffee cart travelled to a variety of different events throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts before the couple finally opened their first brick-and-mortar coffee shop in Providence, Rhode Island, in 2018.
However, the small local business turned into a nationwide sensation in 2024, when the coffee shop took over an online community of foodies, coffee lovers, and coastal grandmother aesthetic gurus. This viral turn of events took place once Finocchairo, who ran the business’s social media accounts, started a series of posts featuring the Barista making unusual orders that had been ordered in the shop. The series went viral and opened the door for Finocchairo to get even more creative with content making, including some vulgar and more untraditional concepts when it comes to marketing coffee, reviews of new drinks, and baking videos.
Where Are They Now?
In their first year of becoming a “hot commodity,” The Nitro Bar brought in 4.5 million dollars in annual revenue. A total that continues to grow each year. Not only is their revenue growing, but also their storefronts and physical locations. The Nitro Bar now has three full-year locations in Providence and Newport, Rhode Island, in addition to selling its products through vendors, online shops, and seasonal shops. As of now, The Nitro Bar has amassed 508.3k followers on TikTok, with over 62.7M cumulative likes, and has had numerous partnerships and celebrity guest appearances.
So What If You Don’t Live In Rhode Island?
Never fret! The Nitro Bar wants everyone to be able to experience their recipes and see if it is worth the hype, so I have taken the liberty of finding the recipes for the Nitro Bar’s newest and most popular drinks, so that you may try them at home!
Here Are Some Drinks You Can Make At Home:
1.Cherry Vanilla Latte
Personally, I feel like Cherry Vanilla lattes are not a common recipe or something special to come across. However, this drink was so popular and in such high demand at the Nitro Bar that they just recently brought it back after having discontinued it. So here’s how to make it:

How to make the Cherry Vanilla Latte:
Step 1: Make the Cherry Vanilla Simple Syrup. This may seem like a daunting task, but in reality, all you have to do is simmer sugar in a pot so here is what you’re going to do. You are going to combine the Frozen Cherries, Sugar, Water, and vanilla in a medium saucepan over a medium-low setting. You are going to stir the mixture until the sugar is dissolved and the cherries are easily broken apart (about 15 minutes). Once the sugar is fully dissolved, you can take the mixture off the stove and drain the syrup into a container, removing the cherry skin.
Step 2: Once the Syrup has cooled, you can fill a cup with ice and the milk of your choice.
Step 3: Pour about 1 oz (or however much your heart desires) of the Cherry Vanilla Syrup over the milk and ice.
Step 4: Pour your espresso over your cherry milk and voila! You have a Cherry Vanilla Latte.
Special Note: Let the simple syrup cool completely before using in drinks!
2. Whipped Maple Sea Salt Latte
This recipe has been popping up all over the place, from The Nitro Bar to the Minnesota State Fair. Everyone has been craving this Whipped Maple Sea Salt Latte, and now you can make it too!

How to make the Whipped Maple Sea Salt Latte:
Step 1: In a cup, add ice and desired milk.
Step 2: Combine espresso, maple syrup, and flaky sea salt in a separate cup. As a Barista, my recommendation is to pour the desired amount of syrup and salt into a cup and brew the espresso over it, so that everything can mix more evenly.
Step 3: In a separate cup, combine cream and maple syrup in a cup with a hand mixer or frother and mix until a nice thick foam appears.
Step 4: From here, all that’s left to do is assemble the drink. You will take your cup with the ice and milk and pour the espresso mixture over it. Once that is complete, you can top it with your fresh cold foam and even top with a little more salt or cinnamon. There you have it, A Whipped Maple Sea Salt Latte!
What’s Next?
While not everyone lives or can travel to Rhode Island for a chance to try out these sweet and creative drinks in person, making them at home is the next best thing! Once you make these at home, take a pic and share them on your socials following and tagging @thenitrobar on TikTok and @thenitrobar_ on Instagram !

It all begins with an idea.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
